Cemeteries in Japan

Here's a link to more pictures I took within the first 2 weeks of arriving in Japan. I think cemeteries can be beautiful and serene. It's a place where life can stand still (no pun intended) and you can find some peace and reflection within yourself and for this precious temporary life we are given. Call me strange but I like them.

awesome pix, Daryn! I love cemeteries too, for exactly the reasons you gave. there's something so peaceful and medidative about them. it's awe-inspiring. the town I went to college had some very OLD cemeteries, and I liked to go to them every once in a while and just sit. I've been hoping to find one close to my apartment to go and visit, but haven't yet.

*has a heart attack*

Hi. ^_^; You don't know me, but your blog sure startled the heck out of me. I'm also named Daryn, and I'm currently studying in Japan. O_o I was in the middle of looking up something on cemeteries in Japan for a blog posting for my anthropology class, and ran across your blog.

So, anyway, that's all. ^_^; Maybe you'll just read this and go "WTF?" or maybe you'll find it as fascinating as I did. XD Bye!
